Thanks to all of you who came out and participated in our first ever Big D Bar Game Olympics. Even though we had a few
kinks during the event, it turned out to be a very successful event and fun was had by all.
We would also like to thank all of the sponsors who donated prizes for
the goody bags, the individual events winners and the medalists.
We couldn't have pulled this event off without all of their help.
2 members from each team competed in 8 different events. The top 8 teams competed in
a 9th event to settle any ties.
Olympic medalists were determined by total points at the end of all events. Points were awarded in each event as follows:
1st - 10pts, 2nd - 8pts, 3rd - 6pts, 4th - 4pts, 5th - 2pts
Secondarily, to determine how each team placed overall against all other teams, points were awarded in a backward sliding scale:
1st - 36pts, 2nd - 35pts, etc.....36th - 1pt.
