COED SOFTBALL FAQs
|
I haven't played with Big D Sports before...what should I expect?
Coed Softball at Big D Sports is recreational. You should expect to have fun and meet some new people.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need to bring your own glove and at least one legal bat for your team to use. Uniforms or numbered jerseys are not required.
Also, don't forget your ID for drinks after the games.
Big D Sports will provide an umpire/scorekeeper and game balls.
Ok I'm signing up, what if I need to change my roster?
Roster changes are allowed up until the 3rd week of any Big D Sports season. Softball rosters should never be
larger that 15 people, but we suggest you carry 12 players. After the third week you can only modify your roster
by applying for a special exemption due to injury or other weird/unfortunate occurrence. During registration,
you will be given a roster. Rosters are due to the field coordinator before your first game. We will have rosters
available at the field for changes. Playoff teams will only be able to use players that are on their roster.
What about my skill level?
This is coed recreational softball. All skill levels are welcome to participate, from the beginner to the long time player.
Cool I'm signed up, what about practices?
Some teams practice several times a week. Some don't practice at all.
Unfortunately, Big D Sports does not provide practice time during the regular
season on our fields. You are welcome to show up early and
practice/warm-up on the side, or practice on your own.
