Big D Set To Reduce League Fees

Good news Big D participants!  After conversations with many of you, we have made the decision to reduce the cost of league fees by $45-$50 per team.  Why?  Well we know that times remain tough but you still need that sports outlet to break away from the daily grind.  We have changed our cost structure to accommodate all of you.

Q: Are we losing any league benefits?

A:  Almost all of the benefits will remain the same.  We will still give the winning team their free beer & sponsor bar specials.  League players will still be able to get into the monthly happy hour for free.  Every participant will still get their participant gifts and we will still give our champions a stellar prize.  The only change is that we will go from seven regular season games to six regular season games.  The top teams will still make playoffs.

Q: Why are we getting one less regular season game?

A: There are two reasons for the reduction of one game.  First, we know that league fees are high and the economy has yet to return to full strength.  Making league play cheaper for you was a big driving force after talking with several players.  Secondly, Mother Nature has been very unpredictable the last couple of years.  When we play seven regular season games over four seasons, it requires four more weeks to complete our year.  With the less than cooperative weather we found ourselves playing after the holidays and well into the following year.  Additionally, the City of Dallas is about to institute some new policies around park closures shortening our window to complete four full seasons.  By reducing league play to six regular season games, we have given ourselves a little more flexibility.
