Opening Day Game Ticket Scarcity

Hey there Texas Rangers fans!  Are you ready for another run at the pennant?  All of us here at Big D Sports are looking forward to another great season of Texas Rangers Baseball and it all kicks off Friday, April 6th with Big D’s annual Opening Day Tailgate Party.

The good news is that we have made this party better than ever.  This year’s event will include a catered meal from Plucker’s, the Bud Light Mobile Bar, secure gated access, private restroom facilities and a Live Concert all on the North Lawn of the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Now for the bad news…with success for our Rangers comes some changes in ticket policy.  The Rangers had sooooo many new season ticket buyers that group sales were cut significantly.  If you were with us last year, you know we were just under 400 strong.  Unfortunately, the Rangers only allowed us to buy about half as many tickets for this year’s Opening Day game.   You can easily do the math.  There are just not enough tickets for everyone that went last year to be able to go this year.  That doesn’t even count the new folks that heard about last year’s bash that made plans to go this year.  So we had to get creative on a fair way to distribute tickets to this year’s Opening Day game…(drum roll please)

Facebook!  You read that right, Facebook.  While the Rangers have had to go to a lottery system for general public purchases, we have devised a cool way to do something very similar.  You will have an opportunity to win a chance to buy a pair of tickets to this year’s game and all you have to do is get on Facebook.  Look for the announcements in the upcoming newsletters on what you need to do in order to win your chance at purchasing a pair of tickets to the game.  Win, and you will be popping the top on a cold Bud Light, with a plate full of wings listening to an amazing concert on the north lawn with the rest of your Big D friends.  Don’t miss out on your chance to win.  Supplies are VERY limited.
